Our trip to Flag Animal Farm

When I was younger, one of the things I enjoyed most about school was the excursions.

My husband concurs as he happily relates stories of trips to Drakensberg and that one time his family thought his sister and cousin were left behind at the Royal Show in Pietermaritzburg.

One place every school in KZN definitely took the kids to was Flag Animal Farm in Umhlali.

It is a quaint farm that's home to horses, pigs, sheep, goats, birds, cows and a whole lot more.

What makes this place even more special is that many of these animals have been rescued, making Flag Animal Farm one of the first of it's kind; rescuing animals, giving them a place of safety and allowing the public to interact with these gorgeous creatures in a lovely environment.

With nostalgia filling our hearts, we had the pleasure of taking Danielle to Flag Animal Farm and we couldn't be happier that we did!

This trip is what instilled in her, a love for animals of all kinds, and was sure to be the first of many outings.
