The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) has become an organisation I hold close to my heart.
I'm always looking out for their events and fundraisers and am always keen to get involved.
Throughout the year CANSA hosts various events to help create awareness and raise funds.
This weekend they will be hosting the annual Shavathon event.
It is a fundraiser held nationally at local shopping centres and businesses, where people can either shave their hair, donate their pony tail, spray their hair or buy a CANSA wrap.
All the hair collected from shaving and cutting is used to make wigs for cancer patients.
The events are a great way to show your support towards the organisation and the fight against cancer.
You can also choose to be a volunteer as CANSA needs all the help they can get.
Some Durban venues that will be hosting the Shavathon include The Phoenix Plaza, Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Springfield Value Centre, The Pavillion, Kloof Village Mall and Musgrave Centre.
For more information on the event or if you would like to find a venue or become volunteer in your area, visit the CANSA website.
Another event happening this weekend is a fundraiser hosted by CANSA together with OMG Pub and Grill. It takes place on Saturday, 28 February 2015 at 8pm. The venue is located at 115 Marshall Drive, Mount Edgecombe. The dress code is Smart Casual. There will be lots of giveaways.
